Camping holidays on the Costa Brava: main takeaways

What is the most beautiful town on the Costa Brava?

Costa Brava enchants many people with its various coastal villages. They all have a special charm, but Calella de Palafrugell is particularly special to us. It’s a former fishing village, and when it gets dark, its white house facades are bathed in the warm light of the many candles in the water. Tamariu, Llafranc, or the medieval village of Begur are also worth a visit.

Is wild camping allowed on the Costa Brava?

Costa Brava has long established itself as one of the most popular regions for campers, but wild camping is not allowed and is punishable by severe fines. We recommend that you find a campsite and book it in advance, especially during the high season.

What are the most beautiful campsites on the Costa Brava right by the sea?

The campsites Sea Greean Cala Llevadó, Treumal, Palamós, El Delfin Verde, Playa Brava, Nautic Almata, and El Pina offer you all the comfort you could want from a camping holiday on the Costa Brava right by the sea.

When is the best time to visit the Costa Brava?

The summer months are best for a beach holiday. However, maximum tranquility is not to be expected during the high season in July and August. If you want to avoid crowded beaches and lots of tourists, the low season in May, and maybe June, and September are good options. Daytime temperatures during this time are still always above 25 degrees.

What are the most beautiful beaches on the Costa Brava?

The dreamlike coves of Cala Aiguablava near Begur, Santa Cristina near Lloret de Mar, and Cala Treumal in the Pinya de Rosa nature reserve, Platja de Sant Francesc, or why not the popular family beach Platja de Castell… The list can be long because one thing is certain: paradisiacal beaches are a guarantee on the Costa Brava.
