The rough cleaning is carried out by the renter. This includes, for example, emptying the fridge, disposing of garbage, cleaning surfaces.

Fine cleaning is done by the owner. This includes for example vacuuming and cleaning the outside of the vehicle.

- although the T4 drives very much like, and is only a little bit longer than most normal cars, it is still good to take it easy in the beginning and learn the size and steering. Especially curves are good to take a bit wider and backing with relying mainly on the side mirrors takes a while to get accustomed to. Be cautious of dead spots especially towards the right. You can also help each other and look out both. The person sitting on the right side of the van has a lot better view to his side. - In Finland and in the north as a whole, you drive with lights on also during daytime. Remember to switch them off to safeguard the car battery. :D - Remember to use the "engine brake" as much as possible when you drive downhill in the mountains. (Alpes, Norway, Sweden, maybe Lapland) You put less wear on the brake pads and discs like that. Also your safety is at stake, like this you have cooler discs and pads when you really need them. - the car socket gives current at all times. So remember that you drain the battery if the motor is not on. I would recommend taking the plug out of the socket whenever not driving to safeguard the car battery. Now to the cases of unwanted things happening: damage, breakdown, accident. In case of damage, breakdown, or accident: I’m available via WhatsApp or phone from around 9 am to 6 pm to assist with any issues. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with car troubles, as many problems can be easily solved. However, sometimes professional help is needed, often meaning towing to a nearby workshop. The insurance covers towing to the nearest garage (or a slightly further one if the nearest is unavailable). It’s a good idea to contact nearby garages in advance, especially before the weekend, to check availability. If it’s late and you’re in a safe spot, it’s often best to stay in the van and wait until the morning for towing. The insurance company is OP-Pohjola. Just provide the towing company with the insurer's name, and the invoice will be sent directly to them. You can use any towing service, but Redgo.fi (09 374 77 113) is a reliable option. Alternatively, you can call Autohätäkeskus (Car Emergency Center) at 010 253 0012, available 24/7. For breakdowns, repair costs will be covered by me, but we’ll need to discuss and agree on the specifics with the garage. For accidents or damage unrelated to normal wear, your deductible is the maximum amount you’ll be responsible for. Options for continuing your journey: • Wait for the van repair: I’ll refund the rent for the days the van is out of use. • End your journey and return to Helsinki by economy/second-class ticket or public transport. • If you’re not too far from Helsinki and I have another van available, you may switch to a different van for the rest of your rental period. Options range from basic to more advanced vans. With open-minded problem-solving, we can usually find a good solution to these rare but stressful situations.
