Sparky the Campervan, or Glampervan. For a self-built camper, this is quite luxurious. We use it ourselves many months of the year, and you live very comfortably here. Sparky is built for off-grid camping for long periods. It is gas-free (!), has a large Lithium battery bank (500Ah), powerful inverters (6000 Watt 220v power), solar charging, 80 liter fresh water tank, etc. Here you are not dependent on being connected to anything. The ceiling height is about 186 cm so most people will be able to stand completely upright, there is plenty of light, electricity and hot water, and much of the comfort you are used to from home. The interior was built in 2022, we have put a lot of work into getting a stylish design, and I think Sparky stands out from most other campers in Norway. We have also chosen to make the car gas-free, here you cook with electricity, and you don't have to worry about gas leaks or filling propane bottles. (burning gas also adds moisture to the indoor air, you don't have to do that here) We have built for the healthiest possible indoor climate. The camper has 2 powerful Maxxfan Deluxe in the roof, both controlled by remote control, and can blow air both in and out. By letting one blow weakly in and the other out, you get a nice air flow, even in rainy weather. If it gets cold, you can turn on the 5000W diesel heater. The camper is well insulated to make it possible to stay cool in the heat and warm on cold days. All the light sources in the camper are LED lights, 4 different light zones, with dimmers. You control the lights either via the 3 dimmers on the walls, or with a handheld remote control. LED outdoor lights are also installed on both sides of the car, which include lights up the patio, these can also be turned on from the bed if you want to see what's happening outside at night. A 24 inch Samsung HD Smart TV is installed. This can be swung towards both the bed and the seating area, has apps for Radio, Netflix, Viaplay, Discovery, NRK, etc. You can download more apps if you want, and log in with your own user. The TV uses the Internet via a 4G router, which is also included and can be used freely, free data. Sleep quality is important, and here we think you will sleep well. The bed is fixed, i.e. always ready for use, and is 195 x 140cm. A quality mattress and mattress topper from Ikea, medium firmness, total thickness 20cm. High duvets and pillows are available for an additional fee. Both sides of the bed have a small viewing window, and a long narrow bedside table. There is also a dimmable reading lamp on each side of the bed, as well as a USB outlet and 220V socket. The kitchen has an induction hob with 2 zones, microwave with grill, sink and mixer tap with hot and cold water. The fridge is of a good size and has its own freezer. A "real" fridge has been installed, where both the freezer and fridge get really cold, instead of the usual small camping cupboards. You also have a Nescafe Dolce Gusto capsule machine. It also comes with a loose induction hob that can be used outside. Water: The camper has an 80 liter fresh water tank, and a 10 liter water heater. The water goes to the mixer tap in the kitchen + to the outdoor shower. A powerful water pump has been installed that provides good pressure. The grey water tank is 40 liters and is emptied under the car using a switch in the kitchen. Fresh water is filled via a lockable filling hatch on the outside of the camper. Water tank meters for fresh water and grey water have been installed. The outdoor shower is used on the side of the camper behind the sliding door. There are 7 drawers for storage. all drawers are locked before driving with magnetic locks: Just turn on 2 switches and all drawers are locked. Otherwise, there are 3 overhead cabinets for food and kitchen utensils, and extra storage space under the seats, and in a large storage compartment under the mattress. Toilet: Trelino Evo separation toilet / compost toilet. This is very easy to use, does not smell, and is much cleaner to empty than the sloppy, dirty chemical toilets that are common in motorhomes. (In short, it works by separating "No. 1" and "No. 2" and therefore does not create "sewerage", you use sanitary bark in the bag for "No. 2". "Emptying" of No. 2 takes place in a regular garbage can, "No. 1" ends up in a clean and tight container, which you empty into a bush or in a toilet. The toilet is also equipped with an exhaust fan as an extra safety against any odors) Power: This camper is quite unusual, in that it has a lot of battery storage and many charging options. As mentioned, you can draw a full 6000 Watts with 230v out of it. The batteries are LiFePO4, Lithium with a total capacity of 500Ah. (To put it non-technically: Sparky has about 5 to 10 times more available battery capacity than a regular camper) A clear battery monitor is installed, with a display where you can follow the available battery capacity and other values.
