Introducing Big Basil, a charming little campervan from the 90s, completely renovated inside. While Big Basil may not have all the luxury features of a modern campervan, it will provide you with some extraordinary moments and adventures! Plan on a little physical training before driving it, as there's no power steering ;) If you plan to travel with it, you'll need to take your time, as it's not the fastest. Top speed: 100 km/h on flat ground! I don't recommend renting it if you intend to go to the mountains, as it's not fast uphill and consumes more fuel. For your information, 250 km is included per night. Any excess mileage will be charged at the end of your trip at 60 cents per additional kilometer. It has two double beds: one in the overcab bed (120x200 cm) and one on the lower convertible bench seat (160x200 cm). Bed linens, pillowcases, and duvet covers are available for an additional fee (see optional extras). IMPORTANT: I ​​pay particular attention to cleaning upon return of the motorhome. 150 CHF will be deducted from your security deposit if the cleaning is not done properly. A cleaning procedure is available and will be checked upon return of the vehicle. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed inside the motorhome. For driving, it has 3 front seats with seatbelts and 2 rear seats without seatbelts. It measures 4.7m long, 2m wide, and 2.70m high. Due to its age, there is no air conditioning in the cab or living area, but a fan is available inside the motorhome to provide fresh air during your travels! The kitchen is equipped with a double gas stove and a three-way refrigerator. There is also a tap with a hot/cold water sink for washing dishes. All dishes are provided (plates, bowls, cutlery, plastic cups, cooking utensils, saucepan, and frying pan). The toilet is equipped with a shower with water heated by the boiler, as well as a portable chemical toilet. The camping equipment storage area is also located in the toilet area. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 75L. For electricity, a 195W solar panel has been installed on the roof and is connected to the leisure battery. A 375W inverter is available for charging your laptop or camera battery. Four USB ports and two cigarette lighter sockets are located in the living area for charging phones and powering the fans. It is rented with two folding chairs, an outdoor camping table, and a groundsheet. The exterior is equipped with an awning and a griddle for grilling. Its fuel consumption is approximately 13 liters per 100 km, given its weight and the wind resistance of the overcab bed. The fuel tank has a 50-liter capacity. Big Basil is, for me, the best travel companion. It's comfortable inside, and its classic style gives it an irresistible charm. I recently completed a 5,000 km road trip in Spain and another of about 1,500 km in Italy, and it still wants more! It's also perfect for a short weekend getaway close to home.
