Our campervan is a 2023 model and has 20,000 km on the clock (as of June 2025). Its greatest advantages are its maneuverability (730 cm long with bike rack, 223 cm wide, small turning radius), its bright, welcoming, and tastefully furnished interior, and the fantastic interior lighting options. We find the arrangement of the two beds (with excellent mattresses!) very practical, as they run parallel to the length of the vehicle (rather than across it), meaning no one has to climb over anyone else to use the toilet at night. We think our campervan is best suited for two people; a child could sleep between the parents, and there's also the option of setting up another bed in the table area, but this is more of a last resort. The stove has three gas burners, and there's another portable stove in the campervan's garage that can be operated with an external gas connection. It has two gas burners, both of which can also be used as a grill. The dishes (plates and glasses) in the kitchen are made of plastic and therefore don't rattle while driving. The bathroom is small—not comparable to the one in your own apartment—but very pleasant and well-lit. A retrofitted external water connection with a shower is very practical, and the water temperature can be adjusted (when the camper's water heater is warm). The payload, i.e., people, clothes, food, water from the water tank, diesel tank, etc., is just under 500 kg, but we've never had any problems with overloading, even though we carry two e-bikes. The heating system is very efficient and provides excellent warmth. For rentals from October to March, the following additional costs apply: €10 per day for the winter tires and a one-time fee of €50 for license plate registration. The campervan features automatic toll collection through BIP&Go: Upon request and prior arrangement, renters can pass through toll booths in France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy without a credit card or cash, as the vehicle is automatically recognized by a badge that can be installed inside. The invoice for these toll charges is issued at the end of the month in which the campervan was rented. ``` Electricity: The campsite operators have significantly increased the daily electricity charge in the last two years (to between €5 and €8). Since September 2025, the vehicle has been equipped with a solar system that allows the operation of 12-volt and 230-volt appliances thanks to the inverter, without needing to connect to the campsite's 230-volt grid. However, this excludes the refrigerator, which must be gas-powered, and other energy-intensive appliances such as a 2000-watt raclette grill.
