Meet Max, our all-electric camper van! (Name inspired by the car brand Maxus and the Netflix series Stranger Things :-) ) Travel through Switzerland and Europe in an eco-friendly, wonderfully quiet way, and with a clear conscience! When you silently roll into the campsite, you're sure to attract admiring glances from other campers. We bought our van brand new this year (2026) and lovingly converted it over six months. Afterward, we traveled 10,000 km through Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Now we'd like to share Max with you. Max is completely self-sufficient with two powerful solar panels that provide enough electricity for the refrigerator, charging your phone/laptop, and lighting. You'll just have to find the toilet outside! Unfortunately, there's no auxiliary heater, but there is a small electric heater. The solar panels aren't sufficient for this, so you'll need external power (e.g., at the campsite). A cable for external power is included. Max is fully self-sufficient with two powerful solar panels that provide enough electricity for the refrigerator, charging your phone/laptop, and lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped with a spacious sink, a 30L fresh water tank, a 20L waste water tank, an outdoor shower with a shower tent (cold water only), a two-burner gas stove, a Bialetti coffee maker, and all necessary kitchenware (pots, pans, dishes, salt, and pepper). The living/dining area features fold-out seats for extra storage and an adjustable and removable dining table. The bed is permanently installed and has a very comfortable mattress—no tedious setup and takedown, and no back pain the next day. Please note: The bed is a transverse sleeping arrangement, so it's only 180cm long. However, the generous width (160cm) makes it easy to lie across the bed. My partner and I (170cm and 184cm) slept very comfortably. Regarding the electric motor: The maximum speed is 100km/h, and the maximum battery range is 240km. Effectively, this means a drive of approximately 150 km to the next charging station (from 20% to 80%), with charging taking about 30 minutes. So, the driving experience is more relaxed and slower than with a gasoline-powered vehicle. This leaves plenty of time for coffee, lunch, shopping, a quick dip in the cool water, a 30-minute nap, or even a yoga session (we've done it all before :-). We don't currently have an awning installed, but there is a tarp and poles in the camper. If you'd like an awning, we'd be happy to install one.
