Schneckenhäuschen, Rolf's Caravan

We affectionately sometimes call our caravan our little snail shell. It's the perfect travel companion for a family with two or three children. The fact that it's already 16 years old and practically a teenager just proves how well it's lived up to its name. We love arriving at a campsite and still feeling right at home. It's especially great for younger children to always have their familiar bed with them. The 1.40-meter-wide double bed and the bunk bed provide four sleeping spaces without any conversion. A fifth person can sleep on the converted dinette. During the day, the caravan offers everything you need. It doesn't have air conditioning (who wants to sit inside a caravan when it's warm outside?), but it does have a heater for cooler days, which can also blow warm air into the awning if needed. There's plenty of room for toys in the large storage compartment. On rainy days, you can lie in bed and read, play games and draw together at the table, or prepare the next meal together. Our "snail shell" caravan has a three-burner gas stove, a sink, and about 45 liters of water on board. It's also very nice that the toilet and sink are separate. And if you want to go on a day trip, the caravan stays parked, and you're mobile with your car.
