Obi-Van-Kenobi, Frédéric's Campervan

Flexible check-in/check-out: possible between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM by arrangement. Obi-Van-Kenobi is a lovingly converted 2018 Renault Trafic. It has three seats in the driver's cab. The bench seat in the living area also comfortably accommodates three people. When converted into a bed, the mattress measures 200 x 140 cm, making it suitable for two adults (and possibly a small child). One adult and two children under 8 years old also fit comfortably. Obi-Van is relatively fuel-efficient, consuming just under 7 liters of diesel per 100 km. It's very comfortable to drive, quiet in the cab, and equipped with cruise control (speed limiter and cruise control) and air conditioning. The touchscreen navigation system includes maps of Switzerland, Germany, and Austria (for other countries, use your own smartphone's navigation app). The entertainment system can be connected via Bluetooth or USB-A cable, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack (headphone cable). The mattress is made of memory foam and is 9cm thick. Personally, I find this perfectly adequate, and it's well-suited for both back and side sleepers. If you know you're prone to back problems and need a very soft/thicker mattress, it's best to bring an additional mattress pad (foam or inflatable) or a Z-light to place under the mattress. Bedding is not included and will not be in the van when you pick it up. A mattress protector (molton) is provided for the 140cm mattress. Please bring the following items yourself: - Pillows + pillowcases - Blanket + duvet cover - Sheet for a 200x140cm mattress The Obi van is fully insulated in the living area, so the climate is very comfortable. When it's hot outside, the interior stays relatively cool. When it's cold outside, the good insulation keeps the heat from the powerful auxiliary heater nice and warm inside. The solar system has a 110Ah battery and is equipped with two high-performance USB ports (2x USB-A, 2x USB-C), each capable of up to 100W. The USB-C ports, which are marked PD (Power Delivery), can be used to connect a laptop. So, with sufficient sunlight, you can easily work on your computer for hours (provided your computer accepts power via PD USB-C and you have a sufficiently powerful cable). The refrigerator drawer isn't particularly large, but its 20 liters are more than enough for 3-4 days' worth of food. It's also very quiet, so it won't disturb you at night. The cabinet on the right side of the vehicle offers ample storage space for non-perishable supplies. The cooker is a two-burner gas stove that works with threaded gas cylinders (but there are also adapters in the cupboard for the Easy-Click system). Two full gas cylinders will be provided in the cupboard for you upon handover, so you can drive off immediately without having to worry about cooking. Please ensure you have two full cylinders again upon return (or if you don't have time before the handover date, you can pay me for them). Cooking: All necessary equipment such as pans, pots, dishes, and cutlery is provided. To protect the interior and the felt lining, please cook outside whenever possible. The Obi-Van is equipped with a large folding table for outdoor use and two comfortable director's chairs. In case of rain, a tarp (tent canvas with guy lines and two poles) is also included. This can be set up over the side of the van as an awning. Or you can open both rear doors and stretch the tarp over them, essentially setting up your kitchen in the dry back. If it's really bad and raining horizontally, you can, of course, cook inside in a pinch (please be considerate and avoid grease splatters on the felt walls). Two long LED strips in the ceiling provide light in the dark. They are continuously dimmable (at the side door, on the cabinet front) and can be switched on and off individually (using two buttons in the ceiling). A 5-meter LED string light is also included, which can be used both inside and outside (it can also be magnetically attached to the vehicle body). That's it.
