Maximilian's Hymer Campervan

We are renting out our Hymer Grand Canyon! The car is a Fiat Ducato that was developed by the well-known German supplier Hymer. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission and 150HP which gives it enough power to get to most places without having to only use the right lane on the highway. At the same time, diesel consumption is an acceptable 10L per 100km. With a reversing sensor, reversing camera and good mirrors, it is also easy to reverse. GPS ensures that you arrive at the desired location. All in all, as a driver, you have the feeling that you are driving a regular passenger car. The car has 4 seats and 4 full-fledged sleeping places divided into 2 beds. With a solar panel on the roof and two lithium batteries, there is enough electricity to free camp for those who want to experience the closeness to nature, while at the same time not being dependent on (expensive) electricity at the campsite. We can manage several nights without power, even if the refrigerator is on full, phones are charged on one of the many power outlets and the lighting is used to create a cozy atmosphere. More about equipment and furnishings: - The kitchen consists of two hotplates and a sink. The countertop can be easily extended when cooking. The kitchen sink has both hot and cold water. There is a refrigerator with its own freezer. The drawers are furnished with equipment for cooking and serving for four people. A pressure cooker is included for morning coffee. - If you are fond of fishing, we ask you to bring your own cooler/freezer for storage as it is not permitted to store fish and seafood in the refrigerator/freezer. It is also not permitted to clean fish inside the car. - The car has a toilet, sink and shower. The car is equipped with toilet paper and hygiene tablets for the toilet. Towels and toiletries must be brought by the renter. - The sleeping places are divided into two beds: The bed in the back measures 195 cm in length and 150 cm in width. The bed in the roof tent is approx. 200 cm long and 140 cm wide. In addition to the standard mattress, both beds are equipped with a mattress topper (they weigh a little, but it's worth it...). Duvets, pillows and bed linen are included if desired. - The windows are equipped with both mosquito nets and blackout curtains for the night. The sliding door is equipped with mosquito nets. - The car has many drawers and cabinets for storing clothes, shoes and small items. There is also plenty of space to store/transport leisure equipment under the bed in the back. - The car has an awning, chairs and a camping table. - The car has a gas alarm including a CO2 alarm so that you can sleep safely at night. - The car does not have isofix. For small children (up to 25 kg) we can lend a Römer Britax rear-facing car seat for an additional charge of 500 NOK/rental. Child seats can be rented for children over 15 kg (approx. 4 years) for an additional charge of 200 NOK/rental. If a booster cushion is needed, this is included free of charge. To simplify the feeding situation, we can lend a child seat that can be placed in a camping chair or in one of the driver's seats (assuming good coverage of the seat cover). - If desired, a bicycle rack for two bicycles can be mounted before rental, but it is desirable that this be agreed in advance. Check-in, check-out, rules: - The car is only rented for use in Scandinavia! - We are generally flexible with the delivery of the car, but on weekdays check-in must take place after 4:30 PM. It is possible to park the car with us during the rental period at your own risk, but we do not have a camera-monitored parking garage. If you come by train, we can pick you up at the station. - At check-in, you will receive a good overview of all the important functions of the car. We will go through the car together and take pictures of the outside. - Tank rule: We rarely use the car with a full tank as this constitutes unnecessary payload (the tank has a volume of 90l!) and half a tank gives a range of almost 500 km. Therefore, we favor the following agreement: The car is delivered with a half-full tank and the renter fills with 1 l of diesel per mile driven. Unfortunately, this requires the renter to collect receipts from the gas station when filling up with fuel. If the renter absolutely wants a full tank out, full tank in agreement, this can be discussed. - According to the vehicle registration document, the car weighs 2765kg, but that is without additional equipment (awning, solar panel, pop-up tent, bike rack ++). Realistic weight is more towards 3050 kg. The amount of fuel and water is therefore an issue as one should not exceed 3500 kg. - Upon check-out: The car is returned with an emptied toilet and waste tank. The car must be thoroughly cleaned. Washing the interior and exterior of the car is carried out by the lessor and constitutes the cleaning fee of 1500 NOK. We will go through the condition of the car together. - Toll and ferry crossings are invoiced after we have received registrations and sent out as an invoice.
