Three of the windows have insect screens and blackout blinds; the rest have insulating mats that attach with suction cups. Interior height is approximately 2.10 meters, so it's very comfortable. Electrics: Large 180 Ah lithium leisure battery (with smartphone app), charged by a 150-watt solar panel. 1200 watts available via 230V (e.g., for a hand blender or some coffee machines). This was more than enough for us, even for working. Nice interior lighting, USB ports available throughout. 4G Wi-Fi router with roof antenna. Water + Gas: 40 liters of fresh water are distributed between two tanks in the rear, allowing the tank to be removed and filled at a well. The tap also serves as the outdoor shower, located by the kitchen window. A 6-liter boiler provides enough hot water for two people to shower. The permanently installed 6-liter gas tank can be filled externally at any LPG station. This is sufficient for approximately two months of cooking. The toilet is a Trobolo composting toilet, which requires no chemicals. Vehicle: Originally an old fire engine, it was converted to 4x4 and raised by Larag AG. The off-road tires further increased the vehicle's height, resulting in approximately 30 cm of ground clearance. The engine is a 2.3-liter gasoline engine with a carburetor and 105 hp. While not a racing engine, it was the fastest engine available for the T1 at the time. It helps to practice a relaxed driving style instead of revving every gear to the limiter. ... The vehicle was built for an 18-month long-distance journey where paved roads are not a given and tire grip is more important than engine power. Thanks to the minimal electronics, you can be sure of finding a mechanic in any village who can help. It's driven in rear-wheel drive as standard. On slippery surfaces (or very steep inclines), you can engage four-wheel drive, optionally with or without low range. The included T-MAX air compressor allows you to reinflate the tires after a trip to the beach. The Autoterm 5 kW gasoline-powered auxiliary heater, integrated into the engine cooling system, helps you get out of bed even on a cold morning. It also heats the hot water boiler and the engine. At 2.85 meters tall, most underground parking garages are off-limits, and you should always be careful when driving through underpasses abroad. Nevertheless, due to its small external dimensions of 5.4 m by 1.9 meters (without mirrors), it can climb almost all tracks in Albania, for example, where Unimogs and similar vehicles have long been unable to pass.
