I usually do not write reviews, but I make an exception for this camping car. To start with, our camping car, which was reserved well in advance in Norway was just cancelled 3 weeks before the holidays. The same happened to a family who would have come with us. Hence, with a frantic mind, we were looking for an alternative. We finally found this caravan and were happy that it was available. However, overall, this caravan should not be used for rental. It is 23 years old, and it is as aged as one would expect from this number. Every button and every piece of equipment is precarious. They break at the first touch. The owner told me not to open some of the windows, so we did not. Later, he claimed we broke them. The caravan is literally rusty: the screws, the metal pieces, the storage doors below the car, and the rearview mirrors are all rotting. There is no camera for reverse as it is also rotten/rusty. When I took over the car, the main board was already showing that the car needed to be serviced. The engine was suffering, and the brakes were bad. Upon return, the owner asked if I broke a lot. I thought braking is part of the caravan’s function. The refrigerator is its own story. When I took over the caravan, the owner saw that it was not working, and I thought it would. Except that it never worked. Neither the fridge nor the freezer. All our food melted. The security pin on the fridge broke at the first touch. When we checked, it was evidently glued to the fridge by somebody. The owner tried to blame us and charged us for the cleaning of the fridge that did not work properly. Overall, I should have refused to take this caravan at the spot, but I was pressed to pick up my kids at the airport, so I did not. Lessons learned. You should only rent this caravan if you are happy to pay the maintenance fees that the owners have failed to do.. I also found the checkout offensive. The owners could not stop speaking in Norwegian between themselves, from which I only understood the frequent WTFs.
